Working For You!

Edison College Faculty Federation has a long and established tradition of bargaining excellence.  At the table, our bargaining team represents the interests of the membership.  Our teams have consistently bargained the best contracts in the state including
  • record salary increase
  • shorter contracts
  • improved working conditions
  • shared governance
  • job protection

Every union member receives exclusive representation in any issue involving terms and conditions of employment.  On the local level, our union officers and stewards are available to represent you if asked.  When needed, we can ask for a professionally trained field staff representative to attend as well.  ECFF belongs to United Faculty of Florida, a professional organization with over a century of collective bargaining experience in higher education.  They are available to help any union member solve critical issues such as
  • Grievance and Arbitration Hearings
  • Evaluation Disagreements
  • Certification Problems
  • Payroll Errors

Members receive the assurance of having highly trained and experienced legal council available to them through their union membership.  While nonmembers can hire the same legal council with money out of their own pockets, such representation would easily cost several thousands of dollars.  The union, through UFF retains local and state attorneys who have years of experience dealing with state and local education laws.

The union provides members with much more than just liability insurance. Members receive one million in liability insurance for on-the-job protection.

We can do together what you cannot do alone.
